Affiliated Organizations
MSCA works with several organizations within the beef and agriculture industry.
Local Affiliates
These groups are a great way for members to become involved with the MSCA on a truly grassroots level. Local affiliates allow members to work closely to the industry through their local communities. Each local affiliate has a board of directors and hosts meetings and activities throughout the year.
NCBA
Initiated in 1898, the National Cattlemen's Beef Association is the marketing organization and trade association for America's one million cattle farmers and ranchers. With offices in Denver and Washington, D.C., NCBA is a consumer-focused, producer-directed organization representing the largest segment of the nation's food and fiber industry.
Minnesota CattleWomen
The Minnesota CattleWomen works to communicate about and promote beef to the public through many consumer events and outreach efforts. Auxiliary members include farm and ranch women, industry representatives, and beef advocates.
Producer Members
Individuals, partnerships, associations, companies, corporations and other organizations actively engaged in the production and/or feeding of cattle in Minnesota.
Voting members
Associate Members
Individuals, partnerships, associations, companies, corporations and other organizations who are not qualified for active or affiliated membership but who have an interest in the purposes and activities of the cattlemen and other interested individuals and groups from states other than Minnesota.
Non-voting members
Affiliated local cattlemen associations
Minimum one (1) director from each association sits as voting member on the MSCA board of directors.
Affiliated State Breed Association
One (1) non-voting member from each association may sit on the board of directors.
Local Affiliates
As a grassroots organization, all MSCA policy is member-directed. MSCA leadership and members work together to ensure that beef producers have a sound environment to raise their livestock and have exceptional opportunities for success. The members are represented locally by the affiliate they operate in. Each local affiliate has a board of directors and hosts meetings and activities throughout the year.
