Nominations Open for 2026 Minnesota Cattleman of the Year and Minnesota Beef Industry Service Awards

The Minnesota State Cattlemen’s Association (MSCA) is accepting nominations for two awards honoring individuals/businesses that have made significant contributions to Minnesota’s cattle and beef industry.

The Minnesota Cattleman of the Year Award and the Minnesota Beef Industry Service Award recognize individuals/businesses who have gone above and beyond in their commitment to Minnesota’s beef industry and whose efforts have made a lasting impact on producers, communities and the industry as a whole.

“Recognizing the people who dedicate their time, talent and passion to Minnesota’s cattle and beef industry is an important part of our annual convention,” says MSCA President Jake Thompson. “These awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the individuals whose contributions help strengthen our industry and build a future for the next generation.”

MSCA encourages cattle producers, industry professionals and members of the agricultural community to nominate deserving individuals/businesses for these awards.

Nomination deadline: Friday, Oct. 30, 2026

Award recipients will be announced during the Best of Beef Banquet at the Minnesota Cattle Industry Convention on Friday, Dec. 11, in Mankato.
